Facebook has the largest global social media following and it is where the University of Michigan’s largest social media audience is as well with over 800,000 page likes. Over the course of 2023, UMSocial’s content on Facebook earned over 74,000,000 impressions and 3,400,000 engagements. We elevated institutional success, commemorated big wins and academic accomplishments, and showcased campus through powerful imagery and videos. Content surrounding celebratory moments or that highlighted campus, whether it be a Michigan Football victory, Spring Commencement, or fall in Ann Arbor, accounted for 19 of the top 20 posts on the platform this year.
